Grizzly Gulch to Silver Fork, continuing into upper Days Fork and exiting Toledo Bowl.

Snow was settled out, ski penetration was only an inch or so deep. Underlying wet snow from yesterday afternoon was much drier.

High Rustler activty from yesterday.

Stability was good, with well behaved snow, skiing Over Easy into Silver Fork and the west bowl. A short period of clearing, loosened the bond, resulting in new snow sluffs and slides.

Ski cutting Oingo Boingo on the entry into Days Fork resulted in

this slide. I ski cut three or four times, widening the path.

Zoomed look up.

Natural activity was also occurring in upper Days fork. I watched several point release slides run.

Tthis one over ran a zig zagged up track from early in the day.

Since steep hills were no longer skiable I bailed. Traversing along the ridge above Toledo bowl resulted in

toledo sluffs

several shallow new snow slides, running to the upper flat.

Driving down the canyon, I stopped for a couple of photos of Scotties bowl

Zoomed upper Scotties.

The weather forecast suggests continued stormy weather, with a 5° in the high temperature for Saturday. I'd expect cooling to increase the bonding. As the day heats, more shallow new snow activity is likely, identified with hand pits, best managed by ski cutting.
